Police & Criminal Justice

In order to conquer one’s mind, one must first understand it!

At NeurodiverseLIFE, we specialise in supporting police, prison, and probation services—helping them to better understand, value, and empower neurodivergent minds.

From staff—through coaching, psychoeducation, and therapeutic services—to service users and residents, our work is designed to create safer, fairer, and more effective environments for everyone, across the entire criminal justice sector.

About NeurodiverseLIFE

Chantelle Knight

With over 25 years of experience in neurodiversity training, coaching, and psychoeducation, my expertise spans the fields of education, public health, and criminal justice, underpinned by degrees in Psychology, Clinical Psychiatry, and Neuroscience.

This unique combination of academic knowledge, clinical insight, and lived practice allows me to deliver a triangulated approach—connecting the needs of staff, organisations, and service users.

Amongst our many clients, I am proud to be working with forces such as both Northumbria Police and West Midlands Police, for whom I provide pioneering neurodiversity-focused coaching and training programmes.

I am also a fully qualified Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Train-the-Trainer, with years of extensive experience delivering training on:

self-harm, eating disorders, psychosis, depression, suicide, and anxiety.

Over the years, I have trained numerous police and probation officers in MHFA, ensuring that support across the entire sector is always safe, informed, and sensitive to the wider realities of mental health.

In an unregulated coaching industry that has seen a rise in self-proclaimed “coaches” and “trainers” seemingly leaning solely on their lived experiences , I offer something distinctly different:

a foundation of rigorous training, academic study, and real-world application!

Why this matters for employees:

Psychoeducation provides a neurobiological understanding of a wide variety of conditions, including:

ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, PTSD,

OCD, anxiety, stress, and depression

Neurodiversity Profiling helps employees identify and explore their own unique profile, providing invaluable insight into their strengths, challenges, and practical adjustments.

It's important to also keep in mind that:

Comorbidities are the RULE,

NOT the exception!

Whether it's ADHD and Dyslexia, Autism and OCD, ADHD and Autism, or PMDD and ADHD, rarely do neurodiverse conditions exist alone.

For this very reason, Chantelle undertook a degree in Clinical Psychiatry, enabling her to apply her expertise in neurodiversity, psychiatry, and the psychology of mental health to each of the services we provide here as NeurodiverseLIFE.

By using neuroplasticity strategies, employees learn how to:

  • Reshape their daily routines and lifestyles in order to work better with both the unpredictability and shift patterns of policing, prisons, and probation.

  • Reframe perceived challenges into genuine strengths, with proven strategies to articulate needs and overcome barriers.

  • Redirect their career path toward long-term success — from trainee to senior leadership.

This approach benefits individuals both personally and professionally,
while improving workforce wellbeing, retention, and performance.
